Thank you for your interest in Saint Joseph's University and our overall financial aid opportunities. Below you will find a series of questions designed to present you with an estimate of your potential reductions to the cost should you elect to attend Saint Joseph's. Before you begin we want to be sure you understand the following important pieces of information:

  1. This calculator is designed for use by prospective, first time, full-time undergraduate students interested in enrolling at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and all monetary data must be reported in U.S. dollars.
  2. This is an estimate based on your answers to the questions presented. Your eventual total financial aid may be different than what will be presented here.
  3. This estimate may or may not include federal or state funds based on your eligibility. This calculator is not an application for federal or state funds. To be considered for any federal or state funds you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available at https://studentaid.gov/
  4. If you will not be submitting a FAFSA be sure to select ‘No’ in step 2. You will still receive an estimate of merit aid and other limited aid opportunities from Saint Joseph's only. This will significantly reduce the time spent on this process. Answering ‘Yes’ will not obligate you to submit a FAFSA in the future. At this time, we expect to be able to make financial aid determinations in mid to late March.
  5. We are able to estimate aid from Saint Joseph's University, as well as preliminary determinations of potential scholarships and grants from the US Department of Education and the state of Pennsylvania as applicable.   As previously indicated, any estimates made here are subject to future budgetary or programmatic changes by either the federal or state governments.
  6. Completing the full process should take no longer than 20 minutes of your time. You will need to answer some basic questions about your family financial situation to calculate your Student Aid Index (SAI).
  7. Before you begin, please gather recent tax forms or pay stubs for both the parents and student.
  8. At any time in the process, we encourage you to contact our office directly if you have any questions or concerns. You may call us at 610-660-2500.

DISCLAIMER:
This calculator is designed for use by prospective, first time, full-time undergraduate students interested in enrolling at St. Josephs University in Philadelphia who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and all monetary data must be reported in U.S. dollars. Most colleges and universities employ a different formula to determine eligibility for students from outside the U.S. that is not available with this calculator.

This anonymous Net Price Calculator tool helps families plan for educational costs by providing an estimated financial aid package. The package includes an estimated net cost figure that reflects cost of attendance minus any scholarship or grant aid based on the 2025-2026 awarding rules.

If the amount you're expected to contribute is less than the cost of this school, the difference is your "financial need" for the 2026-2027 academic year only. Students must re-apply for financial assistance each year based on their most current economic circumstances.
